Revival in Canada?

Revival in Canada?
“He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,”

For thirty years I have studied revival.  I have travelled the world and witnessed revival in Korea, Columbia, Nigeria, Ghana and Jamaica.  I am tired of studying and seeing revival in other countries.  It is time for revival in Canada.
I believe God is pouring out His Spirit in these last days as millions come to know the Lord as their personal saviour every month.  In the year 1900 ninety-five percent of bible believing Christians lived in the West, Europe and North America.  Just five percent lived in the rest of the world.  Today just five percent of Christians live in the West, ninety-five percent live in the rest of the world.  What happened? Is God passing over the West or are we missing the mark?  God’s outpouring is sufficient; all we have to do is obey His Word.
Bill Prankard is ministering in obedience to God’s commission.  Jesus commands us to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”  Most preachers are comfortable with the first two parts of the great commission but treat the rest as if Jesus got it wrong.  Not Bill Prankard.

In 1972, Rev. Prankard was pastoring a small Pentecostal Church in Beachburg, Ontario when the Holy Spirit touched him at a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting. Bill began to do as God commands, preach the Word and expect signs and wonders to follow. An unprecedented outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Ottawa Valley was the result, affecting Catholics, Protestants and the un-churched by the thousands.
He then launched into full-time evangelism, and has been conducting Miracle Crusades across Canada for over 35 years. Outstanding physical miracles, dramatic conversions, and deliverances mark this dynamic ministry. Bill carried this ministry to national television and has seen people touched from sea to sea by the power of God.  Psalm 72:8 proclaims that “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,”.  For this reason Canada’s full name is The Dominion of Canada.  Rev. Prankard believes that revival in Canada is near and Psalm 72:8 will become true in this nation.
But in order to experience revival we must get back to the Bible.  The first century Christians obeyed the commandments of Jesus Christ just as they are recorded.  They didn’t pretend to be wiser that God, vetting portions of the Gospel so it would be comfortable for them.  They obeyed and God blessed them with the first revival that swept half the known world. If we want what they had then we must do what they did.  If we want revival then we must be obedient to scripture.
God instructs us in James chapter 5, verses 14 and 15 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.”  Bill Prankard does exactly this in every service and God’s Word proves to be faithful as people are healed.
As a young man I was taught that these words are powerful and that “the prayer of faith will save the sick”.  I have witnessed thousands of miraculous healings including four miracles in my own life.  But sadly not everyone is healed.  Some would explain that peopled lacked faith therefore they were not healed.  Does this mean they are saying that the Apostle Paul lacked faith as he was not healed of the thorn in his flesh?  The answer to this dilemma is found in Acts chapter 1, verse 8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  God has given us the power of the Holy Spirit to make us witnesses.  The reason why we are healed is not so we can dance all night at the local bar, it is so we can witness the signs and wonders of the power of God to a lost and dying world.
Bill Prankard has understood this for years as he teaches every person healed to shout it from the housetops.  On a wall in Rev. Prankard’s Dominion Outreach Centre in Ottawa hundreds of pictures and testimonies speak of the Full Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Such testimony is very powerful especially in our modern world.  Today people are taught post modern thought, moral relativism, that there is no absolute truth.  The result is that intellectual presentation of the Gospel is not enough on its own.  Signs and wonders that follow impact a seeker’s heart and spirit turning that person to the Lord.
Many preachers with a healing ministry place most of the focus upon themselves.  Scripture does the opposite.  James 5 refers to “the elders”, not a single preacher.  First Corinthians 12:28  says “ And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.”  We are quite familiar with apostles, prophets and teachers but who are these “workers of miracles” with the “gifts of healings”?  Bill Prankard has a team of eighty such workers in his Healing Clinic where they do exactly what scripture guides them to do without the fan fare, without the throwing of jackets or blowing on the people.  They share the Gospel with hungry hearts, lay hands on the sick, anoint them with oil and watch God heal them spiritually, emotionally and physically.
This Full Gospel ministry has taken Rev. Prankard to extreme Arctic towns and villages.  Hearing the commission to “go into all the world” Bill was led to minister in some of the harshest places on earth.  He takes this life changing message to people in the Russian and Canadian Arctic where he has seen God’s hand at work touching the hearts of many.  Now Bill is teaching others to go and do the same in his Extreme Missions program.

If we want to see revival from sea to sea in Canada then we must forget those who teach that they are smarter than God as they deny scripture.  Second Timothy, chapter 3. Verse 5 states “having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”  We must turn to the power of God, preach the good news and expect that signs and wonders will follow.  Bill Prankard is a man for such a time as this as he preaches revival across the nation.  Let’s pray that the rest of us follow suit and do exactly what Jesus Christ demands.
